damn, I was hoping that wasn't the answer, that's how I did the first one, except I have a 1/4 socket designed for bits, so I didn't have to use the electrical tape

Just pulled my dash out to get the harness out, it was a pain in the @$$, anyway, wondering, while the windshield is in, what is the easiest way to get the vent panel out to remove the bolts that hold the dash in on top??

I have a semi flat black rust block spray paint for the door jams, and other places where the Herculiner doesn't belong. Being in the NW does help too, my truck is pretty rust free. The Herculiner is going on as a cosmetic, so just exterior surfaces, and most of the interior, but not all of it.

I'm actually going to Herculiner the entire truck, inside and out... Oh yeah, and its not my yard, i rent an apartment and garage space here... lol

awesome, thanks, :clapping:

I have a real camera now, so future pics will not be fuzzy, yay. I will be picking up the first gallon of Herculiner tonight, so that I can get the inside of the cab done, and put the harness, dash, and rest of the interior back together -
I love it, stock seat left within the first week, and I threw a nightster seat on, which makes for a much more comfortable ride. Bought her just over a month ago, and have to take her in for her 1k service, so I have definitely been putting some miles on

I must be a workaholic, by day I am a sales associate at a wrecking yard, great base pay, plus a monthly commission bonus, and in the evenings, I tend bar. I wish I knew where all of my money was...

okay, did some more work tonight, took pics, here they are... Really fuzzy, but hopefully you can see that the dash is pulled, the harness and fuse box are pulled, and really the only things left in the cab are the pedal box, shift assy, steering column, and heater core... -

okay, lots of pics, pulled most of the front clip off to replace fenders, and start paint, also stripped the interior, I need to take a wire wheel to the floor boards, but all I've got under there is some surface rust. I'll let the pics speak for themselves -

Truck is dead, help me resuscitate
cluricaunne replied to cluricaunne's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Threw the pump in, truck works again, that is the fourth pump I've gone through in the last 2 years that I have owned my MJ. I have got to get the electrical work done before she gets really mad at me :dunce: -

put a new resistor in in (well, used, but new to the truck) and got no results. I am going to drop a fuel pump in it this morning, see if that fixes it, otherwise I may have to try to find a brand new resistor. -
but damn is it hot. 2010 Harley Davidson Forty-Eight 1200cc

Truck is dead, help me resuscitate
cluricaunne replied to cluricaunne's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sweet, I'll give it a shot. The truck is at work (bonus that work is a wrecking yard), so I will have to tend to it later, but I think that might do the trick -

is that one of the relays? do you maybe have a pic of the resistor? -
Hey guys, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Truck won't stay running. She'll start 20% of the time, but die seconds later. The rest of the time she is just cranking over, trying to catch life. No idea what is wrong, but maybe you guys can throw ideas at me for me to check. (1988 Comanche 4x4 4.0L MT)

Okay, hopefully someone here has come across this problem, and can steer me in the right direction before I start actually chasing wires. My brake lights don't work. Turn signals work, so I am certain it is not the bulb. I tried hot wiring the switch, and I am still not getting lights, so I have to assume the switch is okay. Am I going to be stuck chasing wires, or is there something I am missing. I checked the fuse already too. Yes my fuse block is the victim of a leaky clutch master, and it is in a bad way, but the brake lights worked up until recently. Any thoughts would be awesome guys, thanks in advance...
