I finally got my new tires put on Hercules Trail Digger M/T 30x9.50x15 I know they aren't huge, but i only have a 3" lift so they look very good due to extremely aggressive tread p.s. does anybody els run these tires or have an opinion???? :D p.s.s. they look pretty sweet ill try and get pics
-
thanks. I did that and the passenger side upper and lower are bad.

So it turns out my front ball joints need to be replaced, and my repair manual just tels me I need a special tool so i should bring it to a shop. well thats just not how i like to do things. I need detailed instructions for replacing front ball joints in a dana 30 front axle on a 1989 Comanche Pics and instructions would be great. thanks for the help.
-
The tire shop says they won't allign my truck because i have a bad ball joint! :headpop: how do i check to see if the ball joint is really bad because i think there full of you know what? thank for any info.

hmmmm...............well ok then ill let you know what I end up doing thanks all

well as far as an aal idk it just seemed like the best option at the time as far as just buying a kit that lifted both ends. I guess it was just the way it turned out I have no reasons. I guess I could have just lifted the front and left the back alone besides new shocks.

I think the same thing as hornbrod as far as why the springs don't fit plus I think its a cheroke aal however to take the skinny three spring pack apart and put a aal in there would be difficult w/o a torch because the clamps are 1/4" steel and rivited to the bottom spring or thats what it looks like anyway. As to what I would like to know about the big ton package is is it better or worse than a comanche w/o it?
-
tons of pics just need to figure out how to put them on the site. and I'm at work so it won't be till tonight anyway. My mj is a 1989 jeep comanche pioneer 4.0l inline six with a 7' bed with a "Big Ton" package. Does anybody know anything about the big ton package because my local jeep dealer doesnt know anything.
-
The shorter springs that rough country makes for comanche are made to go right up the the clamp but not overlap it so the are only like 2.5 inches shorter than the ones they sent me. Well now I don't know what I should do. plus the rear is like 4" lifted when is only a 3" lift???
-
so would you suggest taking the spring pack apart and putting the aal in it? i already have 2 massive overload springs on the very bottom
-
No the leaf they sent me is the shortest one so it shoud go on the bottom. the problem is that the leaf doesnt fit inbetween the stock leaf clamps that hold the stock leaf pack together. To make it work I would have to take the stock spring pack appart and drill a hole in the aal so the clamps would go around it and fit right. The rough country guy that I talked to on the phone told me that with the kit I bought I would not have to take the stock spring pack apart. he said it should be short enough to fit without modification to the original spring pack.
-
:headpop: rough country sent me long AAL set!!!! Too long they hit the stock spring pack clamp, but its all good they said to call them back with the part # and they will send me the right ones free of charge!! but another delay is aggrovating

turning the knob counter clockwise turns on the floor lights. I just got back from my little project and figured it out. I just left the black wire with a white stripe disconnected and used the two solid red and black wires; now the dome lights are operated by the switch on them only which is what i want. all is good
-
black wire with white line = door power solid black wire = constant power red wire = hot wire If you connect the two black wires you get constant power to all cab lights.
-
I bought lights with switches on them.
-
So I installed new dome lights and the door lights won't turn off ...... crap. :headpop:
-
lol thanks
-
looking for replacement dome lights any info on that would be great.
