  1. Its most likely a grounding issue! like mentioned above replace the sockets and check all your grounds for corrosion! I have had similar issues on all my jeeps and could not 100% track the problem to one thing so just keep pokeing around and they will magically start working... wish there was a solid answer to your problem to give you! Good luck and post your findings! :Canadaflag:
  2. Thanks Guys I will try to post pics and stuff on here as i progress! I knew that i would find the type of info i was looking for here
  3. OK i know most of you here have 4x4 MJ's However I do not and I am not intrested in doing the conversion to 4x4.. as i have a great YJ for just that purpose! My question is How do i go about lowering the suspension lets say 4" to 5"? If any one here has done this or can point me to where i can find info that would be GREAT!!!!
  4. the rad i got from flea bay was worth much more than i paid i just got lucky on bidding! and i totaly disagree i do think the change over was well worth it! just my opinion! either way if it fixes your problem and your happy thats all that counts..
  5. There is another option that i used. What i did was instead of putting my money into a different resivor was to switch my radiator to a 92 and newer xj open system rad. The only other thing i did was change the vacume valve to the newer type also! The radiator i got on flea bay for $60. Its that easy and i never had an issue since... there are lots or write ups on this but its as simple as i listed above !!! good luck :Canadaflag:
  6. I had similar issues and to solve them i had to run a seperate ground for the stereo, also i ended up running a hot wire directly to the battery as the constant 12v source was not strong enough for the head unit! hope this helps!! :Canadaflag:

  10. that means that i'll have to find myself a 5 speed tranny from a 4 banger or use a AC Electric motor rather than a DC one! If i get this Project underway I'll post regular updates as to what and why i chose to do things that way! thanks pete!
  11. I have been toying with the idea  of making an electric MJ for some time now and have come across one question that i am sure someone here can help me with! Is the Tranny (5 Speed) the same in a 2.5L I4 as in say a 4.0L, or will they both mount the same if i want to swap! reason for asking is i can find a mounting plate already machined for a 2.5L, but the MJ i have is 4.0L! any help would be appreciated  :Canadaflag:
