  1. It could either be your base or the coax going to the base. Un hok the connector in the back of the cb and using a multimeter check the center pin to the outside of the connector to see if it is shorted. if it is not then check the resistance from the center pin to the base. to me it sounds as if you are not getting the rf signal o the antenna. let me know if this works. any mor questions, PM me radios are my hobbie.

  4. Unfortunatly Virginia state inspection requires an oprable horn, well it looks like i am headding to the junkyard
  5. Nope, the only thing under the bumper is a little larger than a softball and has a medium hose and a small hose, they both look like vaccume lines. I am thinking that the horn has been removed.
  6. Where is the horn located on my Manche? I can not locate it and it is no working. I know dumb question but in order for me to get it inspected I need to have an operational horn

I am tired of burning cds to scratch an break on the road i plan on hooking an inexpensive 50w amp to the speakers (25w per channel, most factory speakers) and running a stero jack to my IPOD shuffle or any type of walkman. Eventually I want to upgrade the speakers and add a sub. Has anyone tried a mod tike this? If so what were the results?
