Swapped in a new TPS today and problem seems to be gone!
-
the IAC was replaced today and it idles better but still stumbled under acceleration, the parts store said that if i needed a distributor they would have to order it, so we decided to wait on that. We unplugged the TPS and it didn't run as smooth but it didn't seem to stumble under acceleration, we plugged it back in and it stumbled again. this could be the problem we were chasing. the distributor will still be replaced later on down the road. we also cleaned the Xj's IAC and it idles better.

I'm pretty sure i narrowed it down to 2 possible culprits, the IAC or distributor. will find out if it is the IAC tomorrow by taking one i know is good out of my cousin's Cherokee and testing it. Isn't that what family is for to take parts from their trucks to test.

the snow round here is wet snow usually and it gets you soggy and gives you prune fingers,i learned my lesson about that last year, and i want to try to get it fixed up before snow is even here

i decided to drive it to work this morning and it ran fine on the way to work, but it started acting up as soon as i back out of my parking spot to this this afternoon. it seems as if once it is put into reverse backed up then shifted into drive then it started stalling , or trying to stall ever time i stopped. tonight and tomorrow will be spent checking on things that were mentioned to check. I might bring it to the Auto Tech center i went to in high school because i saw my old instructor today and asked him about it. it acted like this once in the summer but it stopped after a few days so i never worried to much about it but snow is coming and i don't want to have to be wrenching in the snow.

My 92 4.0 today just started stalling when i take off. It will be idling fine when i stop but then when i give it gas to go thats when it dies. also it doesn't coast, smooth either it feels like it abruptly down shifts . It only stalls when I'm turning to the left when i take off it seems like. The truck seems to run fine other than that, any ideas, suggestions, anything?

The tractor is supposed to have a locking diff, but it doesn't seem to work , and it is into day 4 of it being stuck down there.

we tried to push it up wit the loader and 3 point they just started sinking in to the ground. using the tire to winch might work. i think were just goingt to get a neighbor to winch it with a Skidder.

for those rusty bolts no other tool can remove?

I'm having struggles getting thi pics up, i'm only running 24Kbps on my internet. so please be patient.[/img]

I try to get the pics up when i can find where i put the camera. Just a warning they aren't too action packed, but they show a general size comparison and how stuck the tractor is. I missed when my dad tried to use the Bronco II to pull it out that would have been some good entertainment. I told him to use his new Sierra, but he refused.

today when i came home from work i thought I would get some rest. but i came home to see My dads Allis-Chalmers D15 Tractor in the swamp with the tires part sunk and caked in mud. he sunk it the other day and i came home when it was dark, so i didn't notice it. We tried to put things under the tires to get traction but everything just got covered in mud and became slick. well in our last ditch effort we chained it to the front tow hooks on the MJ put it in 4X4 Low, and reversed, the Jeep's engine was willing but just not enough weight to keep traction. well at we did was bend one ow the tow hooks and felt false hope when the Jeep actually pulled the tractor about 3/4 to 1/2 foot. tomorrow were gonna ask one of the guys down the road if he could extract it with his skidder. Now i wish i hadn't tore apart my Dodge Power Ram.

I'm sure this was probably discussed somewhere on here before, but i didn't have the patience to find it. Tomorrow I'm gonna be gutting out the interior and i was trying to figure out what size Torx bit is needed for the top seatbelt bolt.

College takes away so much of my $$$ I can't afford to buy one now and don't have all the tools to build one yet. , Hopefully I can get a full time job this summer to pay for one, But MI doesn't have many jobs available right now

I've been looking around and wondering if anyone makes an aftermarket off road or tube rear bumper for the Comanche. I would like a stronger one to replace my bumper with.
