I welded together a spare tire mount for my bed that looks reall good and is secure. Only problem is that i welded it to my roll bar. Another option is the in bed spare tire mounts sold online that bolt onto the floor of the bed and the tire mounts onto them at an angle

I broke my drivers side tail light while pulling a tree out of the road during a snow storm. The only ones ive found are incredibly expensive. Does anyone know where i could find one or maybe another truck that has similiar tail lights?

An. Excuse my typo

And yes rough country does make and mj lift kit but they are idiots and send you the same shackles as the xj lift kit and expect you to be happy with it.

Its an auto. Ax-15 i believe that is. My vacuum system is completely screwed up due to the fact that when i found the truck a rat had eaten through all of the lines. Its doing fine with the 33s on. And i do go wheeling about every other weekend. I just want to save some gas if possible. I know some say i shouldnt complain if i wanted bigger tires but I'm only a highschool kid and i pay for my own gas

I just installed my 4.5 inch rough country lift kit. Had to fabricate the shackles to be an inch taller because my springs were very worn. I will be running 33s in a day or two opposed to my current 30s. What type of gas mileage should i be expecting? I get around 15 with my 30s. Also i have heard that some junkyard axles have gearing that could be swapped with comanches for better gas mileage, which would be best? I have a 4.0. I will be driving back and forth from school and work which is just around town. Thanks!

Quick Suspension Question!
hawkswag1 replied to hawkswag1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hmm. The only problem i have with these aals are the size of them. I looked up the part number and its supposed to add 1.5-2 inches of lift. The shackles are 2 inch and looking at the way the aals will fit on i just can't see getting any more than 3.5 inches. I guess ill just put it all on and if its not good enough ill call rough country -
Quick Suspension Question!
hawkswag1 replied to hawkswag1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Okay gotcha. So I'm guessing i will get around two inches from the new shackles and around 2 inches from the aal. I believe this kit is meant to provide 4 inches in the back to level out the truck. -
I recieved my 4.5 inch rough country lift kit today which includes new coils, shocks shackles, brake line relocation kit, t case drop kit, rear add a leaf, sway bar drop kit, and lower control arms. I am confused as to how lift will be achieved in the rear, since adding a leaf spring on a comanche will decrease the height since it is a spring under vehicle. Maybe I'm just missing something here

Adding On To A Lift Kit?
hawkswag1 replied to hawkswag1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yes that is the one. And you're right. Does the second one require shocks? 600 would probably be my budget and that doesnt include the price of shocks -

So 4.5 would look good with 33's and perform well? -

The kit includes an adjustable trackbar new upper and lower control arms (not adjustable) a transfer case drop kit, 4 new nitrogen shocks, lifted coild for front, brake line drop, blocks and add a leaf for rear. I think thats about it -

Adding On To A Lift Kit?
hawkswag1 replied to hawkswag1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Nooo. I want around 6.5 so i was going to do a soa in the back and whatever else was needed to add the extra inch. I just thought it would be a good idea to use all kit components except the rear (excluding the shocks). And then add 2 inch spacers up front. -
I was wondering if i could add onto the rough country 4.5 inch kit I'm buying. I was thinking of going soa in the back and spacers in the front but keeping the kit shackles in the back as well. Since the kit comes with a t case drop kit and brake line drop brackets would there be a problem with going two inches or so higher?

Thats not bad. You said krylon. What type of krylon exactly? I know theres several types. I used krylon fusion to paint my flares and stripes.

What To Buy For The Front When Doing An Soa?
hawkswag1 replied to hawkswag1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
So would lift height be based on the 2wd height or 4wd height? Or would it lift both the same amount? -

Sweet thanks! One more thing. Did comanches all come with the same ride height or did some have an offroad option?
