  1. Yes that is exacly what I did. Is that your double cab Comanche in your avatar?
  2. Have you ordered one before as well? Seems like these pictures can be a little deceiving. I have ordered a few samples.
  3. $5 more being with the shipping price as well.
  4. I agree the price was $5 more. I am 24 months into a 6 month restore. Go figure......
  5. I thought that was most likely the color. But it is hard to tell with that picture image. How well did that carpet kit you got from them actually fit in?
  6. I am thinking maybe buckskin?
  7. Well I am wanting to order a new carpet kit for my 1988 Jeep Comanche. The truck has the brown/tan interior. I call it spice. I am looking at this carpet kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/390671202925?item=390671202925&viewitem=&vxp=mtr . Can anyone tell me what they think the correct color of carpet would be?
  8. Well now from what I can tell on these rear windows it actually comes with the rubber trim around the window because it is a glue in application. Can anyone confirm or dispell that? http://www.dkhardware.com/product-30693-etrv700bt-tri-vent-three-panel-slider-with-dark-gray-glass-for-1986-1992-jeep-comanche.html
  9. Well so much for that route. Two days after I ordered and paid for it I get a email saying the part has been discontinued. So back to the drawing board on this one. Stil have to find one soon.
  10. You are correct and thank you. It even said WEATHERST RIPREAR W for description. Lets cross our fingers that this will be right.
  11. Still trying to figue out on this rear window gasket. PatO did your new wndow come with the rubber trim to go around the window? I am really thinking about getting this rear window (http://www.dkhardware.com/product-30693-etrv700bt-tri-vent-three-panel-slider-with-dark-gray-glass-for-1986-1992-jeep-comanche.html) if the rubber trim is icluded. My rubber trim or gasket looks like poop and I do not want to reuse it after paint is done.
  12. Yes I will try this method before I replace the carpet. Thanks for the idea.
  13. Nope always a southern truck. But maybe still from rain and what not.
  14. Ok so a few weeks ago I posted some pictures where I pulled out my carpets and the floor boards were no so bad at all. But the jute padding under carpet was pretty dang wet. So now weeks later I have repaired the few small pin holes I had. Oshpo'd and painted the floor pans. And in this period of a few weeks I have yet to see any water at all on the floor pans. It has rained several times. I have drove the truck and still nothing. Is it possible that the water that was soaking the padding was either from wet shoes all those years or perhaps a window left down during a rain at some point? I am putting in a new windshield and gasket and redoing the back glass anyways. But I wanted to see what you guys thought before installing my new carpet kit.
  15. Did anyone ever actually wind up making the tail light boxes for the Comanche. I knw they were making them for the Cherokee and seems like I read somewhere they were going to start making them for the MJ as well. Anyone know?
  16. Just did mine. As mentioned above the entire striker must be swapped out. It is a totally different design. I actually used the top factory hole on the Comanche and made a new bottom hole. Pretty much the striker is adjusted all the way in. You will just have to play with it. And I did the manual windows myself because there was a lot of wiring involved on the power soor swap. But I sure had a hard time finding manual doors and paid up for a good set when I did.
  17. My gasket has shrunk over time. I was going to pull it out for paint and reinstall with new gasket. I have a friend that does auto glass. I was just hoping to have everything lined up and ready so he would have a easy time getting it done..
  18. Anybody know of or had any luck finding a new rear window gasket for a sliding glass window?
  19. No tailgate handles out there?
  20. Found a set of non power 1997+ doors today. Had to pay up for them as I just could not find any of them anywhere. Will get those put on this weekend. Moving right along on this project, hope to not run into any speedbumps.
  21. Very nice bumper. I just could not see myslef spending $600 on it.
  22. Very nice bumper I must say. The price is up there pretty good however. Was it $529 for the raw bumper?
  23. I wonder if they have made any adjustments since then on those issues you have mentioned.
  24. Lol... I know what you mean. I have redone many vehicles and seen my pics up in other places. But on the other hand it is cool in a way too.
