When I put gas in the throttle body it starts up and runs. It will continue to run, I can turn it off and will start back up. After sitting overnight or a certain amount of time it will not start up without putting gas in the throttle body.

Well what do you think about a problem in the throttle body, maybe the choke?

Update I now seem to have a nss problem, only cranking in neutral. Coincidence or not?

Well fuel pressure is good, double checked and I am definitely getting spark. I noticed my vacuum lines aren't completely hooked up and my egr does not seem to be hooked up to the vacuum system valve nor solenoid. Any thoughts?

Another thought after getting it to fire it has poor acceleration , fuel pressure regulator?

I don't know man it has been a very long day, might be time to let it go and pick it up again on saturday

What about clogged fuel injectors, it sat for 6 months then some of that dirty fuel was running through the system

87 4.0L auto 4wd 135,000 miles The damn thing won't fire if I put gas into the throttle body it fires up replaced fuel pump, filter, distributor, cap, rotor, wires, plugs cleaned ignition coil, c-101, tps checked fuel lines getting fuel to the rail Any other ideas??????

I will check fuel pressure and catalytic converter tomorrow and let you guys know

Thanks will try the seafoam. I'm having a acceleration problem. Idles good but when i pull out and start going just sputters and has barely any power. Fuel filter good, TPS adjusted, spark plugs changed. next to do seafoam,distributor cap and wires. Any other ideas.

I am interested in buying a 1989 Comanche 2wd 4cyclinder short bed. It has just under a 100,000 miles. It was well taken care of and from what I could tell could use only a couple cosmetic touch ups (paint and headline) What I want to know is what is the maxium price you would pay for this vechicle?
