I have a 88 long bed 4x4 no rust just some fender/door issues.My question is what year xj can i use for replacement? I'm looking only to replace them with better ones not upgrade to newer. Thanks

Thanks Everyone for your advice.I just picked up the axle and was undecided on soa or sua. I have bought a 88 long bed 4x4 (parts truck or?) that has 33's on it and was going to use its lift.I hear mixed reviews on the soa set up. Mine is a 1990 4.0 5spd 4x4 short bed,so no problems shortening the drive shaft if needed. Should the stock pinion angle work when setting up the axle?

I'm getting a Dana 44 from an XJ and my question is; will it bolt in under the spring like the XJ or is it completely different ?

I have a 88 with column shifter, large fuel gauge. I don't need to trade, this is a parts truck.

1990 MJ 4.0 4x4 Short Bed. I love this truck! All original, no rust, from Arizona, never been in a accident with original paint. I drove it from Arizona to San Diego with zero problems. I have a six-pac camper on it (900lbs)and plan on driving to Canada soon. I want to lift it some and have already put some very nice Rubicon rims & tires on it. Plans for bumpers and rock sliders with incorporated tie downs for the camper in its future. New to ComancheClub so any advice will be truly appreciated. Did I mention I love this truck!
