  1. Here are a few more shots after new rear springs and paint. Just a little more progress on my on going project. Flares, spray in bedliner, and a fresh 2.5l are next on the list.
  2. It is about 2 1/2 inches higher in front. When I bought the truck it had a SOA and 4" of spacers in front. I dropped it back down and left one spacer in front, and am having new spring packs built on Wednesday to level it out. I'm just trying to make a nice capable DD without going overboard.
  3. Some other pics. Interior after some work. During front end swap. Not too long after buying it.
  4. Re: Wiring question. PM sent also. After finding a wiring harness off of a 97+ header panel at a local auto salvage yard and butchering it up to get all the light sockets. I was able to solder them in place of the sockets that were on my 89 harness. It took some time goining back and forth from a 98 Cherokee service manual to the Haynes repair manual to splice in all the correct wires together due to the fact the colors were different on each harness. I'll post some more pics soon.
  5. Just a quick update: Converted to 4wd (30/35 w/410s), 97+ front body panels, interior clean up, and lots of little stuff. I hope to get it repainted in a week or so.
  6. This is what I am leaning towards. It is made my Detours Offroad. I have contacted them to see if I can get one, but they don't currently have a jig for it, so they need a truck to fab it.
  7. I cannot seem to find the sending unit on my 2.5l engine. I'm working on a gauge cluster swap and still need to hook up the oil pressure gauge. Can one of you point me in the right direction. Also, the cluster I'm using was out of a 4.0, and I was able to adjust the tach, but when I first turned on the ignition, the gas gauge needle buried itself past full. I moved it beyond empty by hand then turned on the ignition again and it seemed to work. Is there a trick to get it to read correctly. Thanks
  8. That's what I was afraid of. Thanks
  9. I have an 89 with a 2.5l and air. Do I have to remove the airconditioning pump and upper radiator hose to get out the front spark plug, or is there a trick to it?
  10. Hi. I bought this truck about two months ago for $800. Overall it is in not that bad of shape, and is rust free. It is an 89 Pioneer with factory AC, a 2.5l mated to an AX5/NP231. It started life as a 2wd, and I have since converted it over. My plans include a 97+ front swap and a Detours Smooth Line custom rear bumper, new paint, and installing a pair of Recaros.
