Thanks Eagle, simple 4 wire it is, and no need for the converter type. The reference to '2' or '3' was the wiring to the bulb, either brake and signal from the same bulb vs separate brake and signal.

Sort of a basic question, but is the MJ a '2 wire' or '3 wire' set up, the difference being using a standard flat 4 wiring harness or the 5 wire with the converter box? I need to wire my '88 up for towing and any help would be greatly appreciated! Pics/description of where you spliced in would be helpful too. Thanks!

I used Rusty's long AAL and am happy with them. Got just over 3". Very reasonable price too.

I just got my Rusty's 3" lift last week and will be installing it this week or next. I'll post up some pics once it's done. The rear add-a-leaf is very long and beefy. Should hold up well :)
