  1. Anybody have an opinion on what the best rubber floor mats are for a Comanche pickup? I am looking for something that will fit properly and still contain all the winter salt and sand that gets tracked in to the vehicle. Thanks............
  2. Sorry to hear the dealer is not going to honor the recall, although I guess they have to draw the line somewhere. My dealer specifically asked the mileage on my Jeep (92,000) at the time and still honored the recall. BTW, here is a good site to get info on your Jeep http://jeepgarage.free.fr/ownersmanual.html Good luck!
  3. Good, glad to hear it.........
  4. Don't know, but my guess is that they would have to do it.
  5. I believe that means that the work was never done. I would call the local jeep dealer in the morning. My guess is you a due a new O2 sensor installed free of charge.
  6. Might I suggest that you go to http://www.jeep.com/en/owners/ and type in your VIN number to see if the O2 sensor is on a recall list. I checked on my 1989 Comanche a couple of months ago and the site indicated a recall on the O2 sensor and that it had never been installed. I called my local Jeep dealer, gave them my VIN number, they looked it up and confirmed it. They then scheduled an appointment and replaced my O2 sensor free of charge. Not bad for an 18 year old vehicle!
  7. Thanks Limey
  8. What type of sealant (if any) should I use on a new throttle body gasket? Thanks........
  9. Thanks Guys! Gonna have to get a heck of a lot warmer before I crawl under there to do any jiggling or tinkering though. This global warming really stinks. 25 deg. is not a common daytime temp. here in S/E Mass.
  10. CAD ? What does that stand for? Thanks !
  11. I have the same problem with my 89 MJ. Went to work Sunday morning in a snow storm and used 4wd all the way. Didn't take it out of 4wd when I parked it. Came out of work after 8 hours and since the roads were down to pavement, I took it out of 4wd. It drives fine, but the light has been on for a couple of days now. I was thinking maybe when it goes above freezing maybe some sensor would release or something.
  12. 1989 MJ, 4.0, auto The temp got up in the high 30's today, so I thought I would tinker with my Jeep a little. Checked the voltage's on my throttle position sensor and found that it needed some adjusting. Tried to loosen the top torx bolt holding the sensor on and it promptly broke off at the head. The bottom one came out fine, so I pulled the sensor off, got some vise grips on the broken bolt, and of course broke it off right at the throttle body. Hauled out the easy outs and drills and started drilling. Yup you guessed it, broke the freakin drill off about a quarter inch in. Put everything back together with one bolt holding the sensor on, adjusted the sob to spec., and I am getting ready to head for the bar (in the wife's Altima) . Does anyone have any suggestions for my best course of action now.............other than a designated driver?
  13. Heeler is a great dog! He loves Jeeps too.............
  14. Lived in Mass. all my life, but a die hard Dallas fan. Retired firefighter who try's not to let being a cranberry farmer interfere with golf game.
  15. I used Jeep Liberty 16" rims. The only problem was the backspacing. I had to add Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers to get proper clearance.
  16. I got mine at http://www.teamcherokee.com/Weatherstrip/index.html[/url]
