Dan Schachner
I replaced the concentric slave on my AX4 transmission this weekend and at one point an item fell next to me. It was the item in the red circle of the attached image. I replaced it where it is shown, as I could see the slight dust line where the sleeve ended. I also noticed that the vacuum line in the blue circle was hanging loose but I can not seem to locate where it goes to. Lastly, the plug in the green circle was disconnected, not by me, but I found it like that. I connected it back in. When I started the truck back up after finishing the replacement it ran terribly. Erratic idle and it died after 5-10 seconds. Prior to the swap it ran really smoothly. I am after looking through my Haynes manual the only thing that would make sense is a vacuum issue. I have not found any diagram of the vacuum lines. Any idea where the blue line goes or why those other connectors came apart?
hgeranium
I think its an HO from the PCV but just to confirm is your 4.0 a Renix or HO? How does the vacuum line from the MAP sensor to the throttle body look? I can't tell 100% from the picture but I don't think I even see one. I'm not well versed in the HO vs Renix differences on vacuum but check out the EGR vac lines (should be 2-3? I have mine capped off so I don't remember), fuel pressure reg to manifold, and PCV on the rear of the VC (renix has a vac line for this but I don't know about HO)
