I'll attempt to add as much info as I can with my limited knowledge.  Heck, 72 hours ago I had no idea I'd drive a Jeep Comanche home to play with. Once I remove the protective coat of rust from everything, I'll update and make corrections....

I do know the engine has been swapped to a Jasper Inline 6 but that's about it.  I'll continue updating the page (Trans/Axles, Etc...) as I learn more.

Here's what I know to be true.

1989 Jeep Comanche

Swapped Jasper Inline 6

Build 03/1989

Sitting on private property in Upstate SC

Tagged, Insured and drove it home from Bristol area TN.

Although drivable, it's going to be a fun project for me to repair, modify, and upgrade. That's the proper way for every Jeep owner, right?

Bench seat, cloth insert with vinyl trim (is that custom?)

4 sp Auto trans on the column

7' Bed

Burgundy Interior - (That will definitely change)

Silver/Burgundy with Pinstripe detail exterior.

Floor panels are solid, some rust on the axles and hub areas.  A few holes in the rear of the exhaust pipe.

Spare tire (baby)

Weird Side mirrors with a few extra holes in the door.  Makes me wonder what was original and how many time they got knocked off/destroyed....

I've started a project thread where I'll document the build/clean/restore project here.  My '89 Comanche Project
