jimia1
should your truck be in gear or in nuetral in order to check for slop in drive shaft?
CWLONGSHOT
Sometimes REALLY bad joints are not noticable with out removing DS entirely!!! You will feel them driving...but when you get underneath everything seems fine...untill you yank it out and ck. Good luck, CW
BLHTAZ
In gear is the best way. If it is in neutral you will have the output shaft wiggling and it will make it harder to tell if there is a problem. As CW said...sometimes it does require removal to check the caps & bearings.
