xj parts to mj

Hey, new here and to the mj. Any info on swapping body parts would be

helpful.I assume they are the same from the doors forward.I picked up

an 89' mj about a month ago for $150.00, but the nose and doors are junk.I have an 84' xj that will hopefully be the doner. Any info would help.

I don't think the hood off of a 84 will fit an 89. The release latch is different. Unless you swap the lever and latch from the 84' as well.

Hey thanks I didn't even think of that. I can't remember where I saw it,

but I saw a post about what doors would fit.

4DR doors fit fine..

Basically everything from the doors forward is a direct swap. There are subtle changes for some parts as upgrades happened... 86-89 then 90/91 and 92 on.

Hey, thanks for that info. I wasn't sure , so I figured I'd ask , maybe some of you folks have done some swaps. In the future I'm thinking of changing it a fwd.
