Comanche Swaps

We have a 1988 Jeep Comanche 4 speed. We have been told that we can swap parts from Jeep Cherokee's. What years are compatible to the 1988 Comanche. We would like to possible make the 1988 Comanche a 4x4 6 cyl. Is that possible as well and what years of the Jeep Cherokee are compatible for that too.
