1988 Jeep build idea

Recommended Posts

I bought my comanche a few months back, I paid a little more than I wanted to but I was the cleanest one I could find and I’ve been looking for a while. Anyways, it started out as a 2wd manual, and has since been converted to a 4.0 auto 4x4 and has xj seats. Right now it has about 4.4/5” lift in the front and a soa in the rear. I was thinking about going cheap with the build but then decided to go a little more high speed. I’m wanting to replace the axles with a d44 front a 9in rear, also doing a 3 link front and do a complete leaf removal and adding a triangulated rear with 14” king coil overs on all four sides. I know I’ll have to get hd steering in the front and also wanting to run 37 on 17s. Looking to run it at about a 8” ride height, adding an exterior roll cage. I’m obviously going to have to save up because just the coil overs will run me about 2.2k alone. Eventually dropping either a 2jz tt or ls when I get it the way I want it. Was wondering if anyone here has had the same idea or maybe even built one similar to what I’m wanting to do. Thanks for the time.
