Tried to post as a reply in the thread but my Renix OS

in my computer had a hiccup and logged me out.

Bonkers,

First of all, thank you for what you do, I know its a lot of work,

I used to search the craigslist sites, been trying to get into an MJ

For a couple of years now (currently an XJ owner) but the ones I like

are either too far away or out of my price range (I'm in upstate central NY).

With that said, and sarcastic/humor/tongue in cheek, here are some observations

made to me by other jeepsters (sounds like a disclaimer).

What a prolific bunch we are!!!

Most ads have "baby on the way" or something like it,

I can envision a poster/flyer in fertility clinics saying:

"If everything else fails, buy an MJ/XJ"

How unrealistic some people are!!!

With CL allowing 24 pictures, some post 2 or 3,

and they are either a close up of a fender or a flat tire or

at night, dark, with the bright lights on,

and they ask for a lot of money.

Some have their project in pieces (but its all there ;-)

and ask for show quality prices or 5 figures (go figure).

Wife/girlfriend/significant other forces sale!!!

Well, I am not going to elaborate on this one

because of purely selfish reasons (uncomfortable couch, stinky doghouse).

But I will quote a story I once read about 2 tribes in the amazon jungle

that had been at way for 10 years, then the females from both tribes

got together and made a pact, no sex for the males until a peace treaty

had been made ... it only took a few weeks ... they were at peace ever after.

I am only selling because I need the money for ... (some good cause)

but at the end of the ad:

will trade for muscle cars, motorcycles,

things that go boom, anything with a motor or shiny,

try me I'll take anything, etc.

...so I been told that ...

previous owner install a new engine, tranny,

changed oil every weekend, only drove on sunny days,

PO was an old lady that only drove to church/supermarket

PO took it apart on Tuesdays to cleanit and reassembled it on Thursdays

etc

Anyhow, I hope this has been amusing,

I'll keep on searching for my unicorn (MJ-OM617-4x4-5 speed)

Thanks again for your hard work, some of us really appreciated.

ps: can anyone else add their own insights?

...I'm sure I'm fogetting stuff ;-)
