You guys will not even believe this but at my local yard someone dropped off a 89 MJ 4x4, automatic, bucket seats, all glass good, body in great shape but the motor was blown and had no title. I offered to buy it and I call just now and guess what, they CRUSHED IT!!!!!! :headpop: I want to convert my truck and this would have been the perfect opp. I guess I was not aggresive enough with the green. Oh well I just had to vent! thanks for the shoulder.
speed_racer Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 are you 'effin' serious?!! How long had it been there?! And btw they didnt crush it with the axles and tranny/tcase under it ;) Theyre there, theyre just gonna' want more now since theyve been 'pulled'' Unless they really ARE idiots...
ridenlow12 Posted May 18, 2007 Author Posted May 18, 2007 it had only been there about 2 weeks and they kept telling me we don't know what to do with it just try back. well I did and I even thought of asking them if I could get the axles and they said as soon as they are crushed they go on a truck to the scrap yard! Oh these guys are some jerks!
JeepcoMJ Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 they DID crush it with the axles under it. it's common to do so with SUV's and solid axles...they can send it in for ALOT of scrap money, and all they have to do is drain the diffs

Gov't regs and private enterprise will make it increasingly difficult for us enthusiasts to keep our vehicles running via re-used and recycled parts. Sad but true.
