buckwheat Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I have an 87 MJ 4.0L base model. It has no AC, badly done front clip, rusted fenders, and a hood with rivet holes in it. Plus the PO put bucket seats in using plywood instead of rails.....the list goes on. To that end I think it would be easiest if I could find an XJ/MJ as a parts vehicle. I would like the donor vehicle to have 4x4, manual transmission, manual windows and locks, buckets seats, and AC. Since I am trying to use parts on my 87, I'm thinking it needs to be an 87-90 so that everything will match. (If I am wrong about this, let me know.) Something with a blown motor would be great, since that would bring the price down, and my motor seems to be in good shape. I feel like I am asking a lot already, but if the front clip could be complete and in good condition that would be great as well. If anyone has any leads, please message me. Both have AC and should have spare parts galore. If they are not rusted out (hopefully not in Topeka) then they may solve my problems. Anyone have any thoughts? (Sorry if this is straying too far from the intent of the Wanted Forum.)
