Whats Next?

Hey Guys,

 

Hoping I can get some best advice guidance. I have an 1986 MJ and was going to swap the tired 2.8 with a 3.4... I bought a complete 3.4 from a junk yard for 250$; however, it has a bad crank and cracked head... Rebuild price is close to three grand.. :cry:  Tooooo much. The place I got the engine from has another one but the condition of it is unknown... What should I do? They said they would swap it out for me.... but I am afraid I am going to run into the same fiasco. I am at a loss of what to do.

Swap it. Can't be to much worse than what you've already got, and, it just might be a good one. Reason why I don't buy parts from a junk yard.
