86 2.8 Swap

1986 MJ, 2.8, AX5, 207 (I think) and 4.10 axles. D30 front, D44 rear. 3 in lift and 31:10.50 tires

Got tired of seeing it just sitting there so I started the removal of the busted 2.8. Gave up on ever finding a diesel or a 3.4 for a swap so I'm going with a '91, or a '93 2.8 from a S10 or a 4.0, AX15, 231 from a '95 XJ. Got them all 3 sitting on the ground side by side and until I get the busted one out and sitting beside them I won't know which way I'm going. I like the idea of the simplicity, relatively speaking , of going with the 2.8. without all the emissions crap. I also like the idea of the newer and more power 4.0. If I could post pics I'd make a project MJ out of it. We'll see.
