I wanted to wait to get this all together, but I really wanted to share this with you guys. Recently browsing through eBay, I found a guy selling AMC sign "kits". Basically, he makes and cuts the vinyl, and sends it your way. You can choose solid vinyl to make a regular sign, or translucent vinyl for putting on a white piece of lexan, and back light it. I sent him a message to ask about customization, and he hit a home run. I picked up a translucent kit, and plan on making a lighted sign. I got the vinyls in the mail today, and just had to pass along the eBay ad and a pic of the newly unrolled vinyl.

If you pick it up, and want the one I have, be sure to send him a message saying so, because this was a custom deal. If you don't specify, you'll end up with the blank-bottomed one. The lightable one I got runs $65, and IIRC, the non-backlight version runs $45. Super friendly guy, and worth the cash. Even comes with a little vinyl/graphics squeegie to apply the decals with. 12"x48"... Pretty sizable too.

 

I'll have to pick up the white lexan/plexiglass and toss it together yet, but it looks great already. It would look great overseeing any MJ garage.
