87mjdriver
so I have been tracing down wiring issues and I thought I got all of them, so I put the dash back together, and put the fuse block back in, and low and behold another issue pops up the parking lamp fuse is melting, I use a stock amp use, when I put it in I can see the connection light up and glow, it gets warm and melts the plastic around the fuse blade but does not pop the fuse. whats the problem here? what do I look for. jcComanche86lb
Ive seen this happen when the fuse isn't held in tight enough causing resistance which causes heat. If there is too much amp draw it would have blown the fuse. You may be able to bend the inside of the fuse holder so the it will hold the fuse tighter. It also may need to cleaned with contact cleaner.
87mjdriver
sure enough, cut off the old fuse holder terminal and crimped on a new one and it works awesome. thanks
