blue monday
I have a 1988 mj with a 4.0 and a automatic trans. There is a switch on the dash that is labeled power and comfort. I don't have a owners manual so I'm not sure what this option is. Can someone tell me about it?
Geonovast
In comfort mode, the trans will shift earlier, and take a little bit longer to make the shift. It's supposed to provide a "smoother" ride. I've only had one Jeep with that switch, and I left it in power all the time. Most of us that had them have noticed better MPGs with it in power, and it's also supposed to be better for the trans. They ended up hardwiring them all to power starting in 91.
