rejeep Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Ive been dealing with this problem for a bit.. when I go to start my MJ there is a horible sound comming from the starter. At first I thought it was the gears getting all chewed up, but the battery just died and i went to crank it over and while it was cranking slowly (not enought to turn over) there was no noise or clashing.. al least one full engine turn. So i decided that the noise I am hearing is something electrical? can anybody confirm this or not? Is there anywhere to look other than the starter?
Chuck Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Sounds like your starter will need replacing. Best way to make sure is to use a set of jumper cables from a good battery just to make sure your battery is not going bad. Chuck 1989 Comanche Pioneer :hateputers:
