New MJ and my next step

So i got my first 1990 4.0 4x4 MJ and i have bought a new valve cover gasket, cap and rotor, fuel filter, spark plugs, CPS, exhaust system, and vaccuum hoses. It has 54K on the odometer and while i'm stationed in italy I need to know what i should start replacing to insure that it runs good. Right now it will just die while going down the road. i just start it back up and keep going. What should be my next step. Thanks.

I know you posted about this truck before, but I think that was the Sunday that the forum took a dump and we lost most of it.
