COMJNUT Posted December 27, 2010 Share Posted December 27, 2010 I just wanted to post the 2011 Georgetown Ice Racing schedule for anyone that may be interested. Here’s the Schedule: January 1st: Studs & Cheaters January 2nd: Bare Rubber January 15th: Studs & Cheaters January 16th: Bare Rubber (2 races will be run) January 29th: Studs & Cheaters January 30th: Bare Rubber February 12th: Studs & Cheaters February 19th: Studs & Cheaters February 20th: Bare Rubber February 26th: Studs & Cheaters February 27th: Bare Rubber Our Fun Days will be Friday, December 31st and Friday, February 25th. On these days you can come out and practice all day long for only $5 per driver. The lake is open from 11am until sunset. If you just like to watch, studs and cheaters (on Saturdays) are the best to watch and it’s FREE! If you’d like to participate, anyone is welcome to as long as they have a valid driver’s license and a 4x4 or AWD vehicle. You can have up to 4 drivers in one vehicle (2 men and 2 women), so bring your family and friends along. Entry for the races is $20 per driver and there is a once a season Tech inspection. Tech is $5 for Street Stock and $10 for all other divisions. Registration and Tech are open from 7am to 9am. Racing starts at 9:30am. The earlier you arrive, the more time you have for practice (it closes at 9am). Some Sundays we do a second race for anybody that wants to stick around. It’s half price ($10) and we set the race up until there is one over-all winner. They get a small cash prize and it gives everybody a chance at more seat time. Other weekends we have The Kid’s Race and some Championship racing, so there is always something going on. We will also have a booth set up at the Christmas Caravan for Kids this weekend if you’d like to check out some of the vehicles and tires in person.
