Does anyone have a 2,5 lts with carburetor in the comanche?

I am in touch with some 2,5 lts owners, in NAXJA, but none of them has a comanche. All of them are cherokees. I would like to be in touch with some one with a carbed one to share some information and experience.

Fernando, the 2.5L engine in the U.S. was equipped with the carburetor only in 1984 and 1985. The Comanche was introduced in 1986 and in that year the 2.5L engine had the throttle body injection. You will not find any owners of 2.5L Comanches with carburetors in the U.S. -- the combination does not exist.

 

I don't know what combinations were used on export models.

Yes. It is what you say. I think that this truck was sthing particular for export markets in 1987 and 1988. I am 100 % sure that my engine has a stock carburetor. Aprox 200 trucks were sold to the argentine goverment for a dam construction. There are some other Comanches like the one I have in Argentina and they are alike. But so far, the only one having the stock carb is mine .

 

The important thing is that the combination does not exist in a USA Comanche.
