Hick
My 87 Comanche 2.5 2wd 4speed clunks whenever i turn the wheel left from center. Ill turn it about 1/8 of a turn to the left and something clunks. It also does this when i turn while moving. Is this something serious or just a sign of needed front end work?
kyleag89
A clunk in your front end isn't good. Have a friend turn the wheel while you look underneath watching all moving parts to see for any obvious slop of tie rods, pitman arm, etc..
Hick
it does it on right turns too. i was driving and i just lightly turned to the left and it just lightly clunked. the harder i do it the harder it clunks
kyleag89
Do you have a lot of slop in your steering, like you can turn your wheel left and right a couple inches before the tires actually move?
maddzz1
Mine does this and I'm almost sure it is the control arm bushings. I replaced my trac bar and bracket before it started.
