jeephack
After getting all of the lights functioning properly, I decided to work on a couple of small electrical problem under the dash. After pulling things apart, I have a question that I have never thought much about before. You guys probably know instinctively, but it is something that I have never given any thought to. With the electrical connectors disconnected from the cluster, should all the gauges be at zero, or do they just stop at an arbitrary position? The reason I ask is, with the gauge cluster lying on the front seat, I am running at about 150 degrees on the temp. gauge, I have 20 psi oil pressure, and 1/2 tank of fuel. Is this normal? jpnjim
Yep. They all do different things when you pull them. & hooking the temp & oil pressure gauges up to the idiot light senders will max them out.
jeephack
Thanks. That's what I thought but I wanted confirmation.
