CWLONGSHOT
Any one know if the blower fan is the same as other Jeeps? The wifes now only works on high. Its a '04 Libby. I'm figuring its the fan resistor... CW
dunl
I'm sure it's the resistor...we have a Libby, and I'm sure I've seen a post on L.O.S.T.KJ's before. If I remember correctly, the glovebox gets dropped to access it.

dasbulliwagen
The rad fan itself is different than other jeeps. Ive done a ton of these replacements as there was a recall on the fan motors in some models. The fan swaps out in about 1 minute if you know what youre doing, and 2 minutes if you don't. If your resistor went bad it could be that the fan motor is getting bad and pulling too much amperage, but yeah, drop the glovebox and the resistor should be right there. Oh yeah, if you do need to pull the fan, on the very right side toward the back there is a little push in spring clip built as part of the unit, push it in and twist the fan and it pops right out. good luck! CWLONGSHOT
You guys ROCK!!! It is behind the glovebox on top of the heater plenum. 2 screws hold it in place and costs about 15 USD. Here's the part #, 5066552AA. CW
EastCoast D
Yeah I just did that to my moms Liberty.........it was a little tight but just open the door all the way and you should have no problem.....it was pretty easy maybe 15 min including getting the tools out and putting away and laughing with my dad how easy it was
