altenator bracket

Recommended Posts

I just ran one bolt through (closest to battery) using a nut as a spacer to line up the pulley, then made two brackets out of a piece of 16 gauge sheet metal for the bolt closest to the water pump. One bent in a Z kind of to go from the front of that bolt to the front of the alternator, and a straight one to go from the back of that bolt to the back of the alternator.

This is on a Renix, where the idler pulley bolts on using two bolts running front to back. If the bolts run up and down it will not work like that.
