xComancheKidx
does the foam mat under the carpet up by the pedals and across to the passenger serve any purpose or can i just yank her out?
Automan2164
I believe sound deadening, and maybe an ounce or two of temp control... Pitch it if ya want. Rob L.

87Warrior
Take some care when pulling the foam out. I just did this last week and noticed that about 1/2 of the foam mat is wedged up under the dash, sometimes wrapping around a wire harness or the like. I took an X-Acto knife and trimmed the foam mat under the dash. The truck is certainly louder in the cab... that could be caused by the 6" holes I found under the carpet. Makes driving on muddy roads, well... interesting.
Myron
:agree: Did the same to mine. But the holes in my floor are from where I took the drain plugs out lol.
