jack13smack Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I found what looks like a vacuum canister inside the front bumper on the passenger side. What is it? And can I eliminate it? It's in a 92 4.0 HO
Automan2164 Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Its a vacuum storage canister. Works kinda like a tank on a air compressor, and has excess vacuum. It is necessary for anything that runs on vacuum power. THe one on my '91 cracked, and took out the 4x4 and the HVAC stuff. Only had defrost. Rob L.
