CWLONGSHOT
In my experience, Platinum plugs have no business in the older Jeep engines. They can cause problems, although i have never herd of it causing them to "fall apart". Go get yourself a reg old Champion or Auto-lite plug, Copper or copper plus is good. BLHTAZ
I have also "heard" that Platinums are not good for the older Jeeps, but I have never heard of them falling apart either...just running issues. That being said...I run the Bosch Platinum +4 plugs in our '95 YJ and in my '02 Ram 1500 4.7L with no issues. Bosch Platinums are the Chrysler/Jeep recommended performance plugs for the later model vehicles.
