ICEBOX
has anyone replaced the right vaccum disconect type axle with a solid axle ? if so what all do i need to do this and will it hurt gas milage or are there any real draw backs ? I have heard you need a kit and i have heard you do NOT need anything but the new axle.??
CWLONGSHOT
You will need the one piece axle and the appropriate seal. Then fation a block off plate for the CAD hole. BTW, you will need to gut the axle housing the properly install the seal as it goes from the inside out. http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoD30AxlesSeals.htm CW

Motion Offroad
And if you do it, PLEASE don't waist your time unless you put a shaft with the 297x joints in.
