    As part of my rebuild I ordered replacement straps for one of my universal joints. According to rockauto it is the correct strap (UJ43710) But it is shallower than the original, so that the ends of the strap are not touching the mount, but sit off about 1/8 of an inch on each side. This does not look as strong to me. I don't know if there is a better brand for this part (mine are SKF), or if this is a generic part, and all that is available in this day and age. Anyone have experience with this?
