  1. Hello. I recently acquired a 1988 Jeep Comanche 4X4 4.0 Automatic. My truck stalls but not in Neutral. The truck will want to cut-off when I drive, but will not if I am pressing the gas pedal. It will just cut out if I am coasting down the road. The truck never seems to even threaten to stall when it is in neutral. In fact, sometimes when I can feel a stall coming on (or I can anticipate a cut-out) I throw it into neutral and the truck keeps running. I have read several dozen of posts here and I know it could be anything that I am willing to throw $$$ into replacing. I am have done all the work myself: tune-up, fuel filter, cleaned the throttle body, cleaned one ground on the firewall. I am not the greatest of mechanics, but I do love this truck. I would also love to drive this truck without worry of an accident from a stall. I am hoping this neutral observation will help identify the issue, as it is somewhat unique to what I have seen posted from other CC users. Thanks very much.
