Welp, the BA10 bit the dust. I'm going to try to cover most of the swap. There are other write ups out there that I'm sure would do a better job of covering this but I'm going to try to show everything from my "fairly inexperienced" position. I hope this will be just what someone is looking for to help them get their swap done. A swap is my only option as I AM NOT replacing the poo goat tranny. Since this is my first write up, it's a learning curve. I'm going to try to break it up into sections. You picked a fine time to leave me first gear. Driving to school on 1-13-17, I let the clutch out in first, got going and three clunks and a thud later I added myself a second neutral position. So I pulled over, gave it the seventeen second inspection, crossed the toes and kept driving. It sounds like a box of rocks getting beat around by a 200 pound gorilla but it still drives. 140 miles later it's still driving but just how long is unknown. (Picture of crippled jeep added for artistic flare) Sourcing a donor. I'm either going to go with an AX15 or a NV3550, whichever pops up first is what I'm going with. The odds of an NV3550 showing up in the middle of NoDak is slim, so AX15 it will be. I am requiring myself to avoid internal slave as I am trying to avoid issues, not cause more. I'm trying to source a complete parts jeep for $400 or less as to keep my total swap budget under $750. I will update when a donor is found, and go from there.
