i may have hit a financial bumb in the road and not be able to afford the RE of Rough country any more. but have some for a small lift like a 3inch one. if i end up having to abandon the re and rc plans can my dana 35 work with a 3inch lift and proly 31 if i cut the fenders. still for the same use of trail riding and minor street riding thanks for all the help -

what I'm hoping to do if i lift it is put 33s on it and use it in the woods alot. alotta trail rinding but nothing too hardcore. and still use it as a driver from point a to b, not crusing around town -
thanks to the guys that helped me to fingure out my rear axle. if i run the RE or Rough Country is the dana 35 good enough for the lifts. what should i look to do or if i need to replace it what should i go look for. and a side topic what about lockers after, if i lift it.

i've been toying with the idea of lifting my comanche since i got it. i'm wondering what suggestions any of you have aside from like $1,100 RE or the $1,000 rough country. i wanna go anywhere from 3-6 inches. i can most likely pull the funds to buy the RE of rough country but i'd like opinions on other good quality lifts that range in that height that don't hit the $1,000 range. or even make a bastard kit from different dealers and what not. thanks in advance

about an hour after i put this up i got a call back from a shop. i picked up a new thermostat and replaced it. i haven't driven it since, but i hope it solves the problem. if not I'm gunna try the air bubble solution when the weather breaks a little bit more. thanks everyone for your help -
after changing the radiator from hittin a telephone pole I'm still having some problems the stearing messed up i can live with, as well as the door hinges being @#$%ed on my driver side. but shes still over heating. i don't really have any mechanic skills, thats part of my joining the marines, but i know tools and can learn pretty well and a mechanic of 6years in the family. its my first truck and id like to keep it for the fact its my first one and its a hard find around this area in good condition. and mess around with it while I'm the military when i let it sit and idle for about 3 mins, the needle start to hit the red around 220ish, and any longer its in the middle puchin 260. along with this my coolent resivore bubbles and looks like its boiling and starts to leak out of the cap. its like its just pissing fluid out. i tryin to keep this running as a daily driver untill i ship out, or worst circumstance find someone intrested as a parts truck cuz the motor still hasnt hit 100,000 its at 98,700ish and going pretty strong. i don't wanna see her go to a scrap yard. shes too much thank you in advance for everyone throwin out some ideas and solutions

i had a friend of the family (30 year mechanic) check out my comanche and my motors pretty beat he said. it can make it threw the next year plus but just as a driver, so i can't go having too much fun in it. my question is whats a good motor to try and replace it with. I'm looking for something to have as a daily driver but to be able to have some fun in the woods too. my only problem is i have to wait till after i ship for bootcamp cause I'm short on funds.

one day after gettin home from school i went to leave the house quick and she wouldnt stay running. she starts and runs for about a minute. my cousins a mechanic and came up with a few ideas of what it might be. first he thought cause my gas gauge being broken i ran outta gas one day and might have clogged the fuel filter. so first we replaced the fuel filter, and the battery because that ended up dead. then we replaced the fuel pump and it started up and stayed running for a good 10 mins but 2 fuel lines were cracked. so after replacing those is only starts and runs for a minute or so again, it gets the 30psi to start up but it drops right down after start up. anyone have an idea or suggestion as to what else it could be. anything is greatly appericated its an 88 laredo inline 6 4L

I picked up an 1988 Comanche Laredo for $500. Runs great and I want to put a lift and tires in. For a lift I'm looking to go about 4inches and don't know what company to buy from. And I'm wondering what size tires will fit and as well as the brand i should buy. Also any opinions on a body lift. Any comments/suggestions that will help are appericated.
