I'm wondering if the engine swap will work?

I own a 88' jeep comanche, and my truck starts surging in the high range. it starts doing it right around 2,000 rpm. I was woundering if any one else has had that problem and if so, could provide me with some tips on how to fix the problem. thanks Inline 242
