1987 and it does have the vacuum disconnect on the front axle.

The lever moves but it will not disengage out of 4x4. The lever is in 2H now but it is still in 4H and the light for 4x4 is on the dash. I eventually removed the shaft to drive it home.

My 87 MJ is stuck in 4x4, fluids good, any ideas?
