  1. My rig has 123k miles on it. I would still be interested in your gauge cluster, though - I think the mileage you have, even if I CAN'T have it reprogrammed, is probably the closest I have come to my actual mileage so far! Besides, if I CAN have it reprogrammed...well then I am set either way. How much would you be asking for the panel? Please let me know. Thanks!
  2. OK, the Comanche project had to be put on hold...but this is STILL the best place I know of to get an answer for a question I have regarding my Cherokee. I am working on my 2000 Cherokee (no, NOT Grand) 4.0, Auto, 4X4. The vehicle currently has the gauge cluster with the speedometer and tachometer in the middle and two of the "main" idiot lights on the left, two on the right. Not being a fan of idiot lights, I want to swap this for the full-gauge panel but, unfortunately, most of the available panels have many more miles than my vehicle has (and I don't want to incorrectly reflect the mileage as too low). I have not yet found a way to accomplish this other than swapping and reflecting incorrect mileage on the vehicle, either too high or too low (obviously there is not an EASY way as some people would lie about their mileage). The question: is there a legal, proper way to swap out the gauges and have the mileage programmed to properly match that of the vehicle (like through a state calibration center of something)? Any input will be greatly appreciated!
  3. Awesome - thank you! By the way, nice truck collection! I am down to one at the moment, but who knows what tomorrow will bring...!
  4. I am working to restore a 1990 Comanche 4.0 Longbed 4x4 (to replace my '87 which was stolen :-( ) and, unfortunately, the previous owner treated this MJ with less than TLC. In working on the electrical system I have found the fuse box has missing fuses, pieces of fuses - you get the picture. The general abuse has also rendered the labelling of the fusebox almost completely illegible. Does anyone have a "snapshot" of the (under the dash, driver side) fuse box with the appropriate labelling (associated accessory, correct amperage of fuse)? I have checked the Haynes manual and have searched online but so far no luck, so any help would be appreciated.
  5. Thanks for the confirmation, by the way! I am working on restoring the '90 Comanche because someone STOLE and destroyed my awesome '87 MJ last summer. Still trying to recover from the loss of my truck! As far as justice goes, though, the thief (or one of them) is currently in jail. An interesting story...I'll have to post it someday...
  6. No worries about the power windows - the power for the windows in my MJ works it's way down from my shoulder!
  7. OK...please excuse the brainfart - I listed my Comanche in the original post as a 1991 but it is actually a '90 (all other info is correct). Based on the model years ('84-'96) of Cherokees given as potential "glass donors" for my MJ, I believe the info will be the same...but just in case - is there any difference in fit between a '90 and '91 Comanche (not to my knowledge, but again just being safe) or can I use the same donor vehicles? Thanks for the help!
  8. That 84-96 info will be MOST helpful - thanks a million!
  9. I know there isn't always an easy way to cross-reference Jeep parts because of the number of different models and available "trim", but here's hoping: Can anyone give me an easy cross-reference on which Cherokee windows will fit a 1991 Comanche longbed 4X4? Specifically trying to make it easier to replace side glass, vent windows, windshield (bought the truck to restore and someone was good enough to break ALL the glass...) and it is so much easier to find a donor Cherokee than the appropriate Comanche. Thanks for any help!
