  1. Replacing the tank in my 88 comanche. Have a new one from oreillys. Tank is the same except the new one is missing the perch in the bottom for the return line and grommet to go. Do I somehow remove it from the old tank and put it in the new?
  2. having my truck painted and am in need of new rear flare appliques. these are the skirts that go between the flare and the fender. any ideas on where to get them?
  3. a few months ago i had posted a question concerning the bleeding of the front brakes after the removal of the rear proportioning valve and i did the procedure that was posted concerning the opening of one of the front calipers and so on and it seemed to work pretty good but now i had an issue with the rear drum adjuster coming out and after fixing this problem i now am finding that the drivers side caliper is locking up tried to do the same procedure and it backs off but as soon as i close all the bleeders and hit the brakes again it locks up. any ideas? would a front proportioning valve out of a cherokee work better? this is really getting frustrating
  4. ended up using a 3/8 fitting and welding the end of it shut works great.plugged the front lower port of the modulating valve and bled the rears with the drivers front caliper bleeder open and a tube running into A bottle of fluid the caliper bled itself at the same time that i was doing the rears worked like a charm now i just gotta adjust the rear shoes so they don't lock up got the info from archives thanx
  5. looking for a way to run brake lines from the brake block after removal of the rear proportioning valve. what do you do with the port that the return line from the proportioning valve went to in the front of the block?
  6. replaced entire braking system in my 88 mj and in the process have removed the rear load proportioning valve. when i try to bleed the brakes the drivers side front will not bleed at all. ive tried to power bleed them but didnt work. i tried to plug the port on the front of the front proportioning valve didnt work. then i put a t in the line going to the rear and runnin a short line back into the front port of the front proportioning valve still no good. i tried a valve out of an 88 cherokee where the port on the direct rear of the valve was plugged so i ran the line for the passenger front brake to the direct front of the valve and was able to bleed all of the brakes but they were very soft. any ideas?
