  1. Looks like the shipping would be about $200. Seats $50.00 more.
  2. That's about what I'm going for right there. I just need to see if I can get there with what I have. The XJ leaf packs I have are pretty worn, the donor had a little butt sag. Anybody tried it?
  3. Pretty cool. I never would have thought Burb main springs would be the same length as MJs.
  4. So you didn't re-use the main MJ spring?
  5. For the long term I would stay away from AAL's as they will start to sag over time. I've had one on an XJ and it lost about an inch of lift over the course of about a year. It also seemed to negatvely affect the flex of the rear spring pack.
  6. OK, so I found a lot of stuff searching, but never found exactly what I was looking for. I want about 4" of lift in the rear and don't want the expense of full packs. I am also never doing AAL again. I would like to go SOA but really don't want 5"-6" of lift. Is there any way to mix MJ and XJ packs to get 4"? I have some old XJ lift packs already.
  7. I wondered why I didn't see any on MJ hoods.
  8. Does anyone know what years, trim packages, what not, came equipped with these? This is a pic of the one on my 89 MJ Pioneer.
  9. Here's one. Why don't you see more of these?
  10. Had a little time to start stripping the donor today and found some little extras that I thought were kinda cool, like the factory digital clock.I also found the little under dash lights that illuminate the floor. They mount right under the dash, one for driver's side, one for passenger. Also two other lights, one for the cig. lighter hole, the other for the ash tray. Both of those seem kinda pointless, but I installed them in the MJ anyway, just 'cause. All were super simple as my MJ already had wires for these little lights from the factory. Here's one of the under dash lights. I also completely stripped the XJ of everything else I thought I could use or sell. Anybody near central NC need some good buckets?I like them but I need to keep the bench seat for the kids. I'm currently researching lifts. I want about 4" of lift and would like to keep it fairly economical.
  11. Thanks, I just couldn't think of another suitable J word.
  12. Hey all, first off great site. I'm so glad to have found this place. It's like a support group for the MJ affliction, which I contracted as soon as I purchased mine in March '11. Well here's my starting point, a 4x4 89 Pioneer swb with a 2.5, ax5, and 4.10's. . It had less than 52,000 miles on it, now a little over 53,000. It belonged to an old farmer who would drive it about once a week. There is no rust underneath and overall it's in great shape. It will be a semi-daily driver and light work truck. I would like to lift it enough to give some good clearance to some 31's. I'll probably go with a 3.5" lift. I have an 89 XJ donor with a 4.0 and a lot of extra parts that I picked up for $350. Image Not Found First, I'm going to do a little swapping from the XJ, just cosmetic stuff at first. Wheels-

My 89 Pioneer 2.5L, AX5,np 231, D30,D35, (4.10's), SWB Can't read the build date It was originally purchased in Jan of 89 in Chesapeake, VA I bought it in March of '11 and it currently resides in central NC It is my daily driver and will soon receive a mild build up. It was owned by an old farmer who must not have needed it for much, as it only shows 52,000 mi. on the odometer.
