Is there a particular reason why I'd have to swap the latch out? My idea was to swap all internals, glass, manual regulator and striker into the 01 shell then bolt it on. I guess it'd be easier to find a 96 and older door and just plug and play?

If i kept the glass in the door, would it work with the hand crank window track? Or should i just plan on doing body work on the door?

Hello! I am new to the forums and MJs in general. I have a full 2001 Solar yellow swap. Was going to do front end including the hood. My question is will the 2 piece glass, hand crank window track and door latch from an 87 fit into an 01 door shell with little to no modification? my mj sadly was beat on and is definitely a project. Working with what I have and saving money on paint if possible. I know 96 and below are direct bolt ons. I just don't have one. TIA
