Hi so I hope someone can help me with trouble shooting this Comanche.
so, since I bought it, it has always had a hard time running, initially I could use starter spray to get the jeep running but then it would randomly start surging a few times before idling a bit high.
I replaced the ECU thinking that maybe that was the issue, and it did help for a while. then the fuel pump would sometimes work so I replaced that, Aswell. now it's not starting at all lol so at this point.
I replaced the fuel injector and the fuel pump relay Aswell as the starter relay. so, after all that when I turn the key to on nothing will happen.
I used ChatGPT to help me troubleshoot what to do and it told me to take an extra wire and touch it to a specific pin on the starter relay and touch it to a ground point, I did that and then took the wire back off and tried to turn it back on again and now my fuel pump will turn on but it should only come on for a few seconds but it just stays on.
so, I went ahead and tried to turn on the engine and it will turn over but will not catch even if I use starter spray like before it won't catch and run. can anyone maybe help me with what I am probably doing wrong. my other obstacle is that I don't know hardly anything about working on cars aside from the basics. so, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
