  1. Thanks for the heads up @The86manche, my daily driver is a 01 so I’m aware of the issue. I have a spare tupy head for whichever one goes out first.
  2. Hey guys so I’m trying to do the 97+ swap on my 88 Comanche. I’ve got a 2000 or 2001 donor xj that I’ve pulled everything from. Both cars had fuel injected 4.0s and I’m swapping all the electronics and exhaust. I’m coming close to it being a running and driving car but I think it needs to be inspected by a BAR ref. If anyone has done an engine swap in California, specifically Southern cali, please lmk how to go about this. Thank you in advanced! IMG_0872.mov

Year, Make, Model. 1988, Jeep, Comanche 4x4 Image, if available Engine / Trans / Transfercase / Front axle / Rear axle / Wheelbase 4.0/ BA10 (I hear it’s crap)/ np231/ dana 30/ Dana 35/ long bed Build date: (its on the driverside door sticker, in the form of month and year) Unfortunately illegible Current Location: Region will do, state, and area of state. San Diego, California Status: Is it still on the road, is it in the junkyard? Project awaiting work? Project truck! Notes: Anything that makes this comanche different from the rest. Skid plates, plows, lights, bumpers, weird factory options... Would also be a good place to note the exterior color, and the interior color and combination, IE, Bench or buckets, Vinyl or cloth, column shift or floor shift. I don’t know if there’s anything super special, it has the camper shell that is color matching (very faded), some sort of tubular bumper In front and a bench seat that I wanna swap for buckets. I think another thing that would make this one different is that it has minimal rust and only surface level at that. Current owner: Well, you know. Put down who has it, the yard its in, or anything of that sort I am the proud current owner! Drove 18 hours to get it, cause I’ve wanted one for a couple years now, will pair great with my xj.
